This memorial was originally in the G.N.R. station Great Victoria Street, Belfast. It is now in Central Station, Belfast, beside the County Down Railway Memorial, part of which can be seen on the left of the photograph.

THE MIDLAND RAILWAY COMPANY (Northern Counties Committee), WAR MEMORIAL
The memorials was formally located in York Road Railway Station, the Belfast terminus of the system.
It is now located inside the Translink Railway Workshops, York Road, Belfast. Not open to the public.
Upon the obelisk there are four bronze tablets, one on each of the sides. The tablet on the south side bears the following inscription: -
‘In remembrance of those who laid down their lives.’
On the three other tablets are inscribed the names of those who served and returned.
