Saint Patrick’s Parish Church, Coleraine, County Londonderry.

The memorial window is at once distinctly impressed with its beauty and significance. In the centre-piece a Padre is seen bearing in his arms a dying soldier, and pointing with uplifted hand to Christ. Who stands above then with a crown in His hands. On the left stands a Christian warrior and on the right a similar figure, portraying “Victory” and “Peace.” Small panels above the main work are adorned with the crest of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, and the coats of arms of Ulster and Coleraine, and a harp surmounted by the Crown. The Inscription at the base reads-

“This window has been erected by the parishioners of St. Patrick’s Church to the glory of God in recognition of the gallantry of the men of this parish who fought in the great war, 1914-18, and in ever proud memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice.”

The memorial tablet is in panelled oak, surmounted by miniature battle scenes, and, like the stained glass memorial, has been most artistically designed. On the bottom panel are the names of the fallen, as followed; -

James Allen, Robert Anderson, Archibald Anderson, Robert Bacon, McDonald Campbell (Lieutenant), Wm. J. Elkin, James Fulton, John Gribbon (Lieutenant), James Henry, Edward Hosier, George E. Huston, Charles Jewell, Robert Letson, Wm. Millar, Wm. Murray, Hugh McFadden, George McIntyre, James McKay, William McKay, Wm. McGrath, Robert Parke, Samuel Parke, Robert Paul, Wm. Rankin, Robert Rankin, John Rodman, Robert Simpson, John Simpson, Wm. Stewart, Wm. Templeton, and Samuel Willis (Capt.).
